Links2 is a web browser ported to the Pandora by mash. The most recent update is from March 12, 2011.
It is very fast and stable compared to other browsers, but many websites do not look as they are intended. It supports images, tables and SSL, and provides a choice of navigation with mouse or d-pad.
There are two versions included in the PND, regular and "scrollmode". The difference between them is that the "scrollmode" version assigns the right nub to the mouse scrollwheel. Left and right-clicks are not assigned to anything, so you likely won't be able to use any other programs while you're using this version. In the regular version, you can scroll around the page by holding down on the right nub (middle mouse button) and scrolling with the left nub. You can also scroll up and down with the X and Y face buttons.
How to set up a download directory
You will by default find your downloads in the /appdata/links/ directory on your SD-Card. But in this directory, there's also a (hidden) directory called ".links", and in that directory you will find the file "links.cfg" (maybe you first have to save the options once). In this file, there's a parameter called "download_dir". It's persistent, e.g. saving options does not alter it. Edit it to your liking. For example: download_dir "/media/YOUR_SD_CARD_NAME/path/to/your/downloads/"
Please do keep in mind that on Linux everything is case-sensitive. So if your sd-card is named "PNDs" and you want to use the directory "Downloads" in the root on that, it should read:
download_dir "/media/PNDs/Downloads/"
